McKenzie Method

McKenzie Method (Cervical/Lumbar)

Developed in the 1960s, the McKenzie Method is a comprehensive program of assessment, treatment, and prevention strategies for back and neck pain combining both physical therapy and exercise. This method of therapy is performed and directed by certified McKenzie clinicians.

The McKenzie Method aims to decrease pain and restore function quickly. Treatment emphasizes patient education and active involvement in the management of the treatment program under the guidance of the clinician. Once a patient is able to manage self-treatment, an individualized program tailored to the patient’s lifestyle is developed.
